2 Months

Violet you are 2 months old!

Guess who hates bows in her hair....??

Everyone says how fast the time goes by and they are right. It seems like we blinked and this month had gone by.

This past month you have really grown! You weigh 11 pounds 9 ounces
and are 23" long.
That's 3 pounds more than last month!

You are a very good eater and it takes you only about 15-20 minutes to eat now instead of 30-45 minutes like you did your first month. But you still like to eat about every
2 1/2-3 hours during the day.

Sometimes even every 2 hours...

You are starting to sleep more through the night. You go to sleep around 10-11 pm and wake up somewhere between 3:00-5:00 am to eat and then go back to sleep for about 3 more hours. Last night you slept 7 hours straight! You're still not on a precise schedule yet during the day....

You are starting to hold on to us while we hold you which I think is soooo sweet:)  Daddy begs to differ when you grab his chest hair but Mommy loves it when you hold onto my arm when I'm rocking you.

You are staying awake more during the day so we've been able to put you down on your play gym and you are really starting to notice the toys and sounds.  You have also started to follow objects, and us, with your eyes.

You HATE tummy time:( We are lucky if we get you on your belly for 1 minute. We keep trying though because we know how important it is for your development...

This is right before you started wailing for me to pick you up...

You like it when Mommy sings you the "pie" song and Daddy hums the theme to Bonanza to get you to sleep while you're laying on his chest. lol!

I have to say that our most favorite thing you do now is SMILE! You were smiling already almost right after you were born but, now, you smile at us:) It is such a joy to see you give me a smile while you're eating or smile at Daddy when he gives you Eskimo kisses.  It just makes all the sleepless nights and worry worth every second!
